Frequently asked questions
Everything you may want to know before you come – hours, reservations, salsa, groups and house rules.
When are you open?
Tuesday to Thursday from 5 pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 5 pm to 2 am. We are closed on Sunday and Monday. Hours can differ on public holidays and for special events – we post any changes on Instagram.
Do I need a reservation?
You can always drop by. Fridays, Saturdays and event nights get busy, though, so we recommend booking – online in about a minute, or via WhatsApp.
Is there an entrance fee?
No. Entry to Mi Casa is free, including Havana Nights with the salsa workshop and party. Only a few special events with a live band may charge entry, and that is always stated with the event.
What happens on which night?
Tuesday to Saturday Spritz O'Clock in the early evening, Wednesday the Spanish–German meetup, Thursday Language Exchange, Friday Havana Nights with a salsa workshop (7:45 pm), salsa party (9 pm) and Latin party from 11 pm, Saturday Latin party. Live concerts and specials come on top on selected dates.
I can't dance – can I still come?
Absolutely. The Friday salsa workshop is made for beginners: no experience and no dance partner needed. And if you'd rather just watch, eat and drink, you're just as welcome.
Do you have vegetarian and vegan dishes?
Yes. Empanadas, quesadillas, tacos and several sides come vegetarian or vegan. Just tell us when you order.
What about allergies and intolerances?
Please tell the service team before you order. We will tell you honestly what works and what we can adapt – the Austrian allergen information is available in the restaurant.
Can I pay by card?
Yes, we take cash and the usual debit and credit cards.
We're a bigger group – is that possible?
Yes, gladly. The main room, side room, winter garden and our cellar club can be used separately or combined: roughly 40, 25 and 80 people, with about 150 across the whole venue. From around ten people, please message us in advance so we can plan properly.
Do you host company and Christmas parties?
Yes – with fixed menu packages, a drinks flat rate, a DJ in the cellar club and individual offers. You can request a quote in two minutes on our Christmas party page.
Can I celebrate my birthday at Mi Casa?
Of course. Book a small group online; for bigger celebrations or your own area, message us on WhatsApp – we almost always find a way.
Is there an outdoor area?
Yes, we have a guest garden and a winter garden. The garden is open in good weather, and the winter garden works when it gets cooler outside.
How do I get to you, and where can I park?
Mariahilferstraße 24, 8020 Graz-Lend – a few minutes' walk from the main square across the Hauptbrücke, with tram and bus stops right nearby. By car: short-term parking zones in the surrounding streets and parking garages within walking distance. At weekends, public transport or a taxi is the easier option.
Can I order food for delivery?
Yes, our kitchen is on Lieferando – and you're welcome to pick up your order at the restaurant.
Do you speak German, English and Spanish?
Yes, all three. Mi Casa is a meeting point for locals, students, Erasmus people and the Latin American community – someone will always understand you.
Are you hiring?
We're always happy to receive applications for service, bar and kitchen – write to info@micasa-graz.at, a short informal message is enough.
House rules
So everyone has a good night – short and simple:
- Everyone is welcome – wherever you're from, however you dance. Racism, sexism and harassment have no place here.
- On the dance floor: ask, don't pull. A “no, thanks” is always accepted.
- From 10 pm our team may ask for photo ID. Alcohol is served according to Austrian law.
- The venue is non-smoking; please step outside to smoke – and keep it quiet there, our neighbours are asleep.
- No dress code. Come as you feel comfortable.
- At events we sometimes take photos and videos for social media. Tell us if you'd rather not be in them and we'll look out for you.
- Left something behind? Get in touch within a week – we keep lost property.
- Last orders about 30 minutes before closing.
